Pamela chats with Jen Storer

Jen Storer has written many acclaimed books for children, including the best-selling ‘Truly Tan’ series (illustrated by Claire Robertson). Book seven, Truly Tan: Baffled!, is OUT NOW!

The eight and final book in the series, Truly Tan: Shocked! is due for release in November 2020.

Truly Tan (book one) has been optioned for a live action film and is currently in development.

Her ‘Danny Best’ series (illustrated by Mitch Vane) includes Danny Best: Full On!,  Danny Best: Never Wrong!, and Danny Best: Me First!

The fourth and final book in the series, Danny Best: Watch This! is due for release in February 2020.


Julie chats with Kate Simpson

Kate Simpson is a picture book author, book worm and podcast host. Kate’s debut picture book, Finding Granny, was shortlisted for the Speech Pathology Australia Book of the Year Awards 2019. It tells the story of a small girl whose world is turned on its head when her beloved grandmother suffers a stroke. Kate’s second picture book, Dear Grandpa, will be published in August 2019.

As well as being an author, Kate is also one third of the children’s book podcast One More Page, which is a fortnightly foray into all things kids’ books. One More Page features guest interviews, book reviews and giveaways, as well as a kid-centric segment called Kids Capers. In 2018, it was a finalist in the Best Newcomer category of the Australian Podcast Awards.
